October 10, 2024 – New ESRA3 Thematic Reports
We continue the ESRA3 project with the publication of three new thematic reports. These reports dive into one specific topic and show differences according to country, region, age and gender. Furthermore, they also discuss advanced analyses of the topic and compare with external data. We are excited to share with you three new topics:
- Speeding
- Young & aging road users
- Infrastructure (new ESRA topic)
In July we already shared with you the thematic reports on:
- Subjective safety & risk perception
- Distraction & fatigue
- Moped riders & motorcyclists
- E-scooter riders (new ESRA topic)
We extend our special thanks to our steering group partners the Federal Highway Research Institute (BAST; Germany), the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF; Canada) and the Technical University of Athens (NTUA; Greece) for their work in writing these reports. Vias institute (Belgium), the International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS; Japan) and the Austrian Road Safety Board (KFV; Austria) ensured the high quality and accuracy by reviewing the reports. The institute for Road Safety Research (SWOV; the Netherlands) was responsible for the overall coordination of the review procedure.
In the coming months we will be releasing six more thematic reports that will continue to build on the wealth of data provided by the ESRA3 survey. Keep an eye on the next ESRA3 mailing.
If you want to join the ESRA community and include your country in future data collections, do not hesitate to contact esra@vias.be. Let’s improve road safety together!
ESRA (E-Survey of Road users’ Attitudes) is a joint initiative of road safety organizations all over the world. The aim is to collect and analyze comparable data on road safety performance, in particular road safety culture and behaviour. |
