In this exciting episode, Sean Shapiro, host of #ASKaTrafficCOP and The #TrafficJam, dives into The Great Canadian Driving Games with two incredible guests: Bill Bland from the Safe Roads Challenge and Craig Lyon from the Traffic Injury Research Foundation.
We’re talking about an innovative new initiative from TIRF.ca that could change the way Canadians think about driving! Imagine adding a simple app to your phone that tracks your driving habits, gives you insightful feedback, and even lets you compete with family members, like seeing who’s safer behind the wheel! Plus, you could win $100,000 just for participating.
From March 14th to September 14th, drivers can join The Great Canadian Driving Games to help researchers study driving behaviors like acceleration, deceleration, cornering, swerving, phone use, and speeding. The data collected, anonymously, of course, will help identify risk areas and analyze how education affects driver behavior. This episode is packed with fascinating insights so sit back, relax, and get ready to learn how you can make the roads safer while having some fun, and maybe even challenging your parents to see who’s the better driver!
