January 2025 was ushered in with a cold blast of winter weather, creating an unexpected start to the year. But it has reinvigorated the Canadian spirit and harnessed the strength of communities to pull together and support each other despite some challenging conditions. This renewal of the Canadian spirit has unified us to work together to make the world a better and a safer place.
More importantly, it has made clear that this spirit of unity and care is not limited to times of crisis. It is also woven into the fabric of our daily lives, shaping how we interact with one another. Perhaps the most evident way to demonstrate our commitment is our behaviour on the roads. No matter whether we choose to walk, wheel, ride or drive, we have the opportunity to demonstrate this sense of responsibility and empathy for others by driving safely, sharing the road, and protecting active transportation users who are most at risk for injuries.
At TIRF, we remain committed to fostering a culture of safety and respect on our roads. Collaboration at all levels is essential to make a meaningful difference in our communities through leadership, partnership and innovation. In 2025, TIRF is undertaking a series of new projects which are designed to harness these concepts and turn them into real world change.
All of the staff at TIRF encourage all Canadians to join us in our commitment to protecting each other on our roads and in our communities.
Warmest regards,
Robyn Robertson
